This month’s PPI with a Purpose focused on Save The Animals Rescue Team II.
S.T.A.R.T. II started in 1989 as an organization dedicated to alleviating the plight of homeless and abandoned companion animals. Twice a week the organization visits a local pound and takes as many adoptable animals as they can. These animals are provided veterinary care, clean living conditions, exercise and socialization. START II then works with potential adopters to find that perfect match, giving them a “fur”- ever home for life. Additionally, they educate the public on the importance of spaying/neutering as well as offering low-cost options, vaccinations, preventive medications, and proper living conditions for their new and existing pets.
This lifesaving work is critical for many of these unfortunate animals and for the past 27 years, they have rescued and placed over 7,000 dogs and cats.
Every month at PPI we dedicate our PPI with a Purpose to giving back to a local or personal non-profit organization and we are happy to have been able to be a part of the wonderful mission that is championed at START II.
